Azamin Amin
tahu | Jun 26, 08 | 12:47:55 pm MYT

Terkini Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan Dato' Seri Zulhasnan Rafique

menjalankan penyelenggaraan landskap mengikut pembahagian zon
penyelenggaraan.

taman, Jalan-jalan Protokol, Persiaran Perdana, Sisiran Putrajaya

4. Pembangunan Koridor Sabah RM115 bilion
5. Pembangunan PGCC di Pulau Pinang RM24 bilion
6. Jambatan Pulau Pinang ke dua RM3 bilion
Jumlah keseluruhannya RM712 bilion

Menurut laporan sepanjang 22 tahun mantan Perdana Menteri Tun Dr.

dilakukan sepanjang era Abdullah menjadi Perdana Menteri sebelum

RM8,390,000.00
3. kos memperbaiki MRR 2 - RM70,000,000.00

Berbohong jadi amalan pemimpin negara
Is Zack
Mon | Jun 16, 08 | 2:51:43 pm MYT

Rasulullah ditanya para sahabat dalam suatu majlis: "Wahai Rasulullah, adakah orang mukmin itu bersifat penakut?" Jawab Baginda : "Ada." Sahabat bertanya lagi: "Adakah orang mukmin itu bersifat kedekut?" Baginda menjawab: "Ada." Sahabat bertanya lagi: "Adakah orang mukmin itu bersifat pembohong?" Rasulullah menjawab: "Tidak!"

Tiada perancangan punca institusi pondok berkubur ? Dr Basit
Lanjusoh
Mon | Jun 16, 08 | 1:53:22 pm MYT

Hati tentunya tersentuh melihat akhlak Islam terus dipertahankan. Kadang-kadang mereka mengelek kitab jawi.

Kini setelah zaman bertukar, institusi pondok semakin berkurangan.

Antaranya Pondok Pasir Tumbuh, Pondok Lubuk Tapah, Pondok Sungai Durian, Pondok Gelang Mas, Pondok Talak, Pondok Seligi, Pondok Tunjung, Pondok Berangan.

Pondok Beta, Pondok Lepan Bola, Pondok Bukit Gading, Pondok Laloh dan Pondok Genting. Pondok paling tua yang kekal sehingga sekarang iaitu Pondok Lubuk Tapah, Pasir Mas ditubuh pada 1932.

Manakala pondok yang mempunyai bilangan pelajar paling ramai iaitu Pondok Pasir Tumbuh iaitu seramai 1,000 orang. Bilangan warga tua pula seramai 400 orang.

Dua lagi pondok yang mempunyai bilangan pelajar ramai iaitu Pondok Sungai Durian, Kuala Krai dan Pondok Lubuk Tapah, Pasir Mas.

Persoalannya mengapa bilangan pondok merudum begitu banyak sekali. Menjelaskan perkara itu Mudir Pondok Sungai Durian, Dr Abdul Basit Abdul Rahman berkata, antaranya kerana tiada perancangan awal tok-tok guru pondok.

Perasmiannya disempurnakan anggota Exco, Ustaz Mohd Amar Abdullah.

Ahli panel lain iaitu Mudir Pondok Lubuk Tapah, Dr Lokman Abdullah dan Pengerusi Jemaah Tadbir Pondok Pasir Tumbuh, Ustaz Abdul Halim Abdul Ghani.

Ia mendapat sambutan menggalakkan.

Dana awal disumbang kerajaan negeri.- tajdid _

The 1 billion (RM4.5 billion) contract to buy the submarines was
non-competitive and netted Perimekar 114 million. Although Najib
has sworn an oath to Allah that he had never met the woman, he was
in France at the same time one of his best friends was there,
dealing with matters over the submarine. A cousin of Altantuya's
testified at the trial that she had seen a picture of Najib together
with the dead woman, but she was quickly hushed up by both defense
and prosecution lawyers about the matter.

An influential Malaysian blogger alleges that Najib's wife was
present when the Mongolian translator was murdered in 2006

Asia Sentinel

One of Malaysia's most prominent bloggers, in an explosive statutory
declaration to a Malaysia court, has alleged that the wife of Deputy
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak as well as a Malaysian Army officer
and the officer's wife were directly involved in the murder of
Mongolian translator Altantuya Shaariibuu on October 19, 2006, and
that people at the very top of the Malaysian government are aware of
the fact.

The declaration, by Raja Petra Kamarudin, who edits the web
publication Malaysia Today, has been ignored by Malaysia's
government-linked mainstream media. However, it threatens to finally
break open the case. Even if it doesn't, it adds considerable chaos
to the country's political mix. The Barisan Nasional, the national
ruling coalition, is reeling from the loss of its two-thirds
majority in March elections.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, taking the brunt of criticism
over the loss, has already promised to step down at some future date
to cede the premiership to Najib. District elections are due in July
in the United Malays National Organisation and there are suspicions
that the verdict in the Altantuya murder trial is being delayed
until the elections are completed.

Raja Petra wrote that Najib's wife, Rosmah Mansor, and Acting
Colonel Aziz Buyong and his wife, Norhayati, Rosmah's aide-ada-camp,
were present at the scene of the murder and that Aziz Buyong was the
individual who placed C4 plastic explosive on Altantuya's body and
blew it up. Both Najib and his wife have repeatedly denied any
involvement in the case although top society in Kuala Lumpur has
been buzzing for months with rumors of their complicity.

Shaariibuu was executed by two shots to the head and her body was
blown up with military explosives in a patch of jungle near the
suburban city of Shah Alam. One of Najib's closest friends, Abdul
Razak Baginda, once the influential head of a political think-tank,
and two of Najib's bodyguards, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and
Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar of the elite Unit Tindak Khas or Special
Police Action Unit, have been the subject of a marathon murder trial
that got underway more than a year ago.

Neither Najib nor his chief of staff, Musa Safri, has been
questioned nor summoned as a witness despite the fact that Baginda
in a sworn statement in November 2006 said he had contacted Musa for
help in dealing with Altantuya, his jilted lover. That has raised
widespread suspicions that the court prosecution, defense and
judiciary have all been struggling to keep the case under wraps.
It has been subject to numerous delays for reasons that are unclear.

Raja Petra himself is due to go on trial in October on sedition
charges that were filed against him for writing an article
titled "Let's Send The Altantuya's Murderers to the devils playground" and accusing
Najib, his wife and others of complicity in the murder. He amplified
the statement considerably in his statutory declaration, made last
Wednesday, in which he also said that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad
Badawi had been a full report by military intelligence on the
involvement of his deputy premier's family. Badawi gave the
intelligence report to his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, for
safekeeping, according to Raja Petra's statement.

Raja Petra, a member of the Selangor royal family, also wrote that
one of the country's sultans had been given a full report on the
matter. He didn't identify the sultan, but that raises additional
implications, presumably that there is at least one member of
royalty who can back up his declaration, which was made under oath,
if he is subjected to additional charges over the matter.

From the time Altantuya's body was discovered, there has been
widespread suspicion that not only figures at the top of the
government were involved but that the 28-year-old translator and
mother of two may have been involved in a much bigger controversy
than a jilted relationship. She made several trips to Kuala Lumpur
to attempt to confront Baginda, at one point standing in front of
his house and screaming "Razak, illegitimate child, come out." The last time
she was seen alive was again in front of his house, when she was
bundled into a car and taken away.

She accompanied Baginda to France when he was involved in
negotiating the purchase of two Scorpene submarines and a used
Agosta submarine produced by the French government through a French-
Spanish joint venture, Armaris, for the Malaysian defense ministry,
which was headed by Najib as minister. The submarines were bought
through a Kuala Lumpur-based company, Perimekar Sdn Bhd, which at
the time was owned by yet another company called Ombak Laut, which
was wholly owned by Abdul Razak Baginda.

Altantuya, by her own admission in a letter discovered after her
death, wrote that she had been blackmailing Abdul Razak, presumably
to keep his family from finding out about their relationship. But in
his cautioned statement to the police, Baginda said he had already
informed his family of the relationship and said she was pressuring
him for US$500,000. Her father, Setev Shaariibuu, a psychology
professor in Ulan Bataar, has said she was killed because she "knew
too much," although he has never elaborated on that statement.

Given the close relationship between the two main, and that Najib was
reported as presenting jackets made available by Perimekar to the
submarine crews training in France, and that Altantuya was along
with Baginda, it is difficult to believe they had not met.

It is also difficult to believe, given the wealth of published
reports, plus the fact that Azilah Hadri, and Sirul Azhar Umar, were
members of Najib's own bodyguard unit, that neither Najib nor Musa
has been questioned about how the bodyguards came to be involved in
allegations of Altantuya's murder.

There have been many other discrepancies as well. Prosecutorial
setbacks over the course of the trial have endangered the case.
Sirul's purported confession has been thrown out. The prosecution
has attempted to impeach one of its own star witnesses, Rohaniza
Roslan, a 28-year-old policewoman and Azilah's girlfriend. Rohaniza
said she had seen the victim bundled into a red Proton car and taken
away. Later, in court, she said she had been "tortured and coaxed"
by police interrogators into signing that statement and offered a
version of events that differed considerably from her statement.

"The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the Deputy
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri
Rosmah Mansor cannot remain silent on the latest bombshell," wrote
Lim Kit Siang, leader of the opposition Democratic Action
Party. "The credibility and legitimacy of the Abdullah premiership
and government will suffer a mortal blow if Abdullah, Najib and
Rosmah remain silent on Raja Petra's bombshell allegations."

VOTE OF (NO) CONFIDENCE

As expected Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament supported the motion on the removal of subsidy for petroleum. Obviously the whip had been used. Only one Sabah MP expressed his unhappiness at the short notice given for tabling this motion. Yet every MP knows that the price of petrol is a big burden for the people.

On Monday June 23rd, the public expected to hear about a motion of no confidence against Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi by the Sabah Progressive Party. I had predicted that it would not happen as the Speaker would disallow it.

But it was the SAPP that decided not to table it. Its MPs were recalled to Sabah amidst talks of threats being made against them.

The "vote of confidence" by BN MPs over the oil subsidy is, as the opposition pointed out, not necessary at all. The deed is already done and debate would be superfluous.

The Prime Minister was happily smiling over this theatrical show but I think once again the Government has failed to appreciate the displeasure of the public. The vote of confidence means nothing to people who are now facing increase in prices of everything as a result of the withdrawal of subsidy. It will only alienate more people against the Government. If a referendum is held today the Government would lose.

*****

BLO(pergi)CKED

Having muzzled their own supporters, BN is now trying to prevent the Press from being present in Parliament to hear debates and meet MPs. Why BN should bother doing this is a mystery. Already the press is being directed by a "Supremo" on what to report and how to report it.

Maybe it is because among the pressmen there were bloggers. The Supremo is still unable to direct the bloggers on what they should say and how they should say it.

Incidentally my blog www.chedet.com had been locked. I am told that the robot resposible for keeping spam out mistakenly decided that my blog was spam.

I am not blaming the robot of course. It is a preview of the future when we will be controlled by robots.

But the Abdullah Badawi Government must be delighted over the locking out of my blog.

Now I have to find other ways of overcoming robots.

*****

ABDULLAH'S UMNO

Instructions have gone out for aspiring candidates in the UMNO elections not to attend feasts, tahlil or weddings and not to use their staff for campaigning for the UMNO election.

Subsequently they were told that they can attend these functions but they cannot give speeches etc. Its flip-flop as usual.

But what is very strange is that the Pesident of UMNO who has indicated that he would be contesting the President's post in December has been carrying out a vigorous campaign for support for his Government and leadership. He has met all divisional heads and presently he is bringing branch leaders to Kuala Lumpur, paying for their travels and hotel, talking to them and it is believed giving them pocket money and "kain pelikat".

There are 18,000 branches in UMNO. He has not seen all of them yet. Does the ban on campaigning apply to him as well? I think not.

A peculiar aspect of his campaign is that the meetings are held behind closed doors.

How come the President is allowed to campaign so strongly while others cannot? Surely the new ban would work in favour of Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. But then Dato Seri Abdullah is no ordinary member. He is UMNO and UMNO is his, a personal posession.

LANGKAWI

I was in Langkawi recently. The island is getting a lot of funds for its development.

I don't know whether it would enhance the attractiveness of Langkawi to have high-speed expressways. The Kuah to airport road has been widened and straightened. In the process 20 year-old teak tress have been chopped down. Some effort was made to replant. Not very successful I think.

Now the 10K road north from Kuah to Ayer Hangat is being widened into a four-lane expressway.

Time to drive from end to end will be reduced from 10-minutes to four-minutes.

I drove along the road. There were hardly any cars (perhaps it is the oil price hike). The teak trees lining the road are about 25 years old. They are flowering and stately. They must be chopped down so we can reach Ayer Hangat in four-minutes.

As the adviser to the Langkawi Island Development Authority (LADA) I may not advise.

Why is it that I feel we have gone back to the great days of the Colonial era?

Some Thoughts on the Allegations Against Anwar
Posted by labisman
Monday, 30 June 2008

Mind you, these are the same clowns from 10 years ago who tried to
tell us that Anwar apparently sodomized his wife's driver in a
bedroom of an apartment complex that wasn't built yet.

by V for Vernon

Dear Malaysians,

Once again we see the same lunatics trying to tar and feather Anwar
Ibrahim with the most slanderous and demeaning allegations against
his character. Mind you, these are the same clowns from 10 years ago
who tried to tell us that Anwar apparently sodomized his wife's
driver in a bedroom of an apartment complex that wasn't built yet.
These are the same clowns that tried to lead us into believing that
Anwar sodomized his wife's driver, when the driver himself admitted
under oath 3 times in open court that Anwar did NOT sodomize him.

And here we are again, 10 years later, and the circus is back in
town trying to convince us that an almost 6-footer of a 23 year old
man was forcibly sodomized by a relatively small-build 62 year old
man with prior back surgery. And this poor young man was apparently
so severely sodomized that he has been rushed to hospital to have
his anus probed for damage. Nevermind the fact that this young
man "disappeared" for two days prior to the allegation and was in
police custody, irrespective of previous reports of the Malaysian
police shoving broomsticks up their detainees bottoms to get them to
admit to crimes.

But in all seriousness, if you believe this allegation against
Anwar, then I have a submarine to sell you (commissions thrown in,
of course).

They say that prior to an earthquake, animals are often witnessed to
be behaving strangely. So too with this allegation against Anwar, we
should take heed of the behavior and related circumstances of some
of our very own political animals.

This latest allegation against Anwar smacks of a poorly conceived
last-minute strategy by a bunch of desperados. And Exhibit A in the
list of desperados is actually a former dictator who now spends most
of his time running around the country with his pants on fire.
Scandal after scandal has been surfacing about the misbehavior of
this former dictator, starting with the infamous "Korek Kronicles"
of a prominent lawyer who used to moonlight as a match-maker for
corrupt judges and positions of power. Closely following this was
the recent bombshell of a disclosure by a present judge that this
former dictator supposedly organized bootcamps to demean and
demoralize the nation's judges so that they may bow to the whims of
him and his party apparatchiks. Around the same time, we have
received reports from global financial experts that Malaysia has
bled close to RM 300 billion to corruption since the 1980's, a time
period that unfortunately coincides with the 2 decades long rule of
this former dictator. And now, they say they want to have Petronas
disclose their accounts to show where all the profits went...an
outcome which may not be very favorable to a former dictator who is
best known for trivial pursuits and expensive and dead-end crony-
friendly mega projects, all at public expense of course.

Exhibit B consists of two ringside clowns who were instrumental in
the first inquisition circus against Anwar Ibrahim. One clown
paraded into court on a unicycle while carrying a used mattress over
his head, while the other clown built a case of sodomy around a star
witness who denied he was ever sodomized. Unfortunately, as with all
things UMNO, the clowns usually get promoted and they sit now in the
corridors of power merrily honking their noses at the public.
Furthermore, Raja Petra Kamarudin has disclosed some very damaging
information against one of these clowns and the possible affiliation
with undesirables from the underworld, with signed affidavits to
boot. To date, neither clown has honked their noses in response to
this serious allegation but are instead working double-time to not
follow any useful leads or motive in the murder of some poor foreign
girl who had some explosive connections with some very volatile
people.

Exhibit C consists of a prominent high-level leader of Malaysia and
her henpecked husband. This first-couple-in-waiting (or so they
hope) now find themselves in a pickle with the recent Statutory
Declaration filed in court by Raja Petra Kamarudin relating to some
very explosive matters. But I tell you what lah, we don't really
need any Statutory Declaration to know that trained police
bodyguards don't kill people randomly for no reason, that they also
won't take orders from some civilian head of a think-thank, and that
immigration entry records don't automatically vanish unless you
either have some clout in government or you have a magic toyol in
your employ. Also, not to forget the the fact that C4 is not your
grandfather's toothpaste that you can easily pick up at the local
provisions shop.

Now all the characters in Exhibits A, B and C have much to lose from
any change in government, and run a very good chance of being
winners of extended-stay packages at Hotel & Resort Sungai Buloh,
with at least one opportunity of a starring role in the resort's in-
house adaptation of "Murder She Wrote".

It is quite conceivable for the parties in Exhibits A, B, and C to
come together as supporting roles for each other, especially
considering that all of them are rotten branches that sprouted from
the same diseased two-decades old tree. The desperation of each
individual party is the smoking-gun context around this latest
slandering of Anwar Ibrahim, as well as the even more dire threat of
an assasination attempt against him. And all these events have
coincided very nicely with the timing of the henpecked husband
implying that he will be making a run for a top-notch political post
in the very near future, on the behalf of his wife of course.

While the circus rolls into town, we are duly entertained by the
clowns honking their noses, the first-couple-in-waiting (or so they
hope) doing their political acrobatics over a bed of flaming coals,
and the old ringmaster running around in circles with his pants on
fire after trying to jump through a flaming ring. It is imperative
we keep the spotlights trained on all these characters with maximum
intensity and not get distracted by the concession stands trying to
sell us 10-year old mee sodo rebus. As you know, consession stands
always screw you for the dough. So keep your eyes trained on the
main act as the sad local adaptation of Monty Phyton's Flying Circus
entertains us to their last hurrah.

Dakwaan liwat: Mufti Perlis minta Anwar, Saiful bersumpah
03-07-2008 03:08:17 PM
Oleh ZIEMAN

(Mutakhir) PETALING JAYA: Mufti Perlis, Dr. Asri Zainul Abidin menggesa Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yang kini kali kedua berhadapan dengan isu dakwaan meliwat dan bekas pembantunya, Mohd. Saiful Bukhari Azlan supaya 'mubahalah' (bersumpah).

Bala could face perjury charge
By CHELSEA L.yang. dengan, MANJIT KAUR and ANDREA FILMER

PETALING JAYA: A statutory declaration is evidence given under oath which cannot be retracted, said a serving judge and several senior members of the legal fraternity.

They believed private investigator P. Balasubramaniams act of retracting his initial declaration, which made serious accusations against Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, could open the former to perjury charges.

According to the judge, who is an authority in criminal law, affirming a statutory declaration was akin to giving evidence in court.

Under the normal rule of evidence, one cannot withdraw it unless he has very strong reasons. Those reasons must be included in the withdrawal or else he would be committing perjury, he said.

About-turn Balasubramaniam at a press conference held with his lawyer in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur after making a new statutory declaration. He claimed that his earlier declaration was made under duress. Bernama

He said if one was citing duress as a reason for making false accusations in a statutory declaration, he must present proof of such pressure.

He must show that the pressure was serious like its life-threatening to him or his family members.

He cannot just say that he is withdrawing the statutory statement because he had earlier been forced to do it. Someone can now lodge a police report against him and he could face a perjury charge, he said.

Balasubramaniam announced yesterday that he had retracted the entire content of his statutory declaration that alleged police had omitted vital information in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case barely 24 hours after he made it public on Thursday.

Bar Council chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan said a statutory declaration was basically evidence on oath that, once given, could not be retracted.

She, however, said a person could add or correct the statutory declaration to file a further declaration.

Because it is evidence on oath, and if there are untrue statements, then there is the possibility of a person having given a false statement.

Bar Councils criminal law committee deputy chairman Datuk V. Sithambaran said that under the law, two inconsistent statements meant that a person had most likely committed perjury.

Such an act under the case law suggests that a person is guilty of perjury, he said.

Senior lawyer Roger Tan said once a statutory declaration was made it could not be cancelled midway because it was a sworn statement of fact.

Tan said Section 3 of the Statutory Declarations Act 1960 provided that a false declaration was punishable.

Veteran lawyer Karpal Singh said the retraction amounted to an offence under Section 193 of the Penal Code.

Under the section, making a false statutory declaration carries the penalty of not more than seven years' imprisonment or fine or both, said the DAP chairman.

He also urged the private eye to make public the nature of the alleged duress.

Liwat : Boleh Percaya Atau Tidak ?

Oleh

Zaharuddin Abd Rahman

www.zaharuddin.net

( Al-Mughni, 9/72 ; Syarh Muntaha Al-Iradat, 3/599 ; Kasyyaf Al-Qina', 6/433)

Imam Abi Ishak As-Shirazi As-Syafie berkata :

RINGKASAN SYARAT-SYARAT

Qazf mempunyai beberapa syarat :-

1)     Syarat kepada penuduh :

Beraqal

Sekian

I might not like Abdullah but I must certainly admire his skills. He looks stupid, he talks stupid, he acts stupid, but a man who can make you think he is stupid is actually cleverer than you.

teruskan membaca ....

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

I said in an earlier article in this same column that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should be out of office by Christmas. And his successor, I predicted, could either be Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, aspirant Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, or opposition head honcho Anwar Ibrahim. I have also always said that seven days is a long time in politics. What more seven months. And the fact that political fortunes change, subject to both internal as well as external factors beyond your control, means that the situation is always very fluid indeed.

Soon after the 12th General Election of 8 March 2008, the pressure mounted, not only for Abdullah to resign, but also for him to confirm his exit plan with details such as his resignation date and the name of his successor. The pressure, in fact, started in mid-2006 when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad first launched his salvo against Abdullah at a dialogue session in Kelab Century Paradise jointly-organised by Malaysia Today and a couple of NGOs. For almost two years Mahathir continued his attacks on Abdullah, interrupted in between by a couple of heart attacks and a heart operation.

Abdullah was up against two fronts -- internally from the Najib and Tengku Razaleigh forces and externally from Pakatan Rakyat led by Anwar Ibrahim. Of course, Pakatan Rakyat did not really puasa that much a threat until after the general election when it managed to grab five states and 82 Parliament seats -- which resulted, for the first time, in Barisan Nasional losing its two-thirds majority in Parliament. It did happen once before, of course. But, then, it was the Alliance Party of Umno, MCA and MIC that lost its two-thirds majority -- but they managed to regain their majority when Barisan Nasional was formed and all the opposition parties except DAP joined the new coalition (although PAS left the coalition almost three years later and has remained in the opposition ever since).

There is another internal force, a fifth column, which is headed by Muhyiddin Yassin. But Muhyiddin has been very cautious in not openly siding with any of the three factions of Abdullah, Najib and Tengku Razaleigh. He is very cleverly building up his support base, which can later swing to any of the three factions depending on who has the best chance of winning. In that sense, Muhyiddin can play the role of kingmaker if he so wishes and in the event he feels he can never make it on his own unless he joins forces with Abdullah, Najib or Tengku Razaleigh.

Muhyiddin is no direct threat. He will only become a threat if he manages to build up enough support and then throws this support behind one of the three contenders. And that contender will most certainly be the candidate who has the best chance of winning. But then, who is it the contender that has the best chance of winning? That is something that is very fluid and keeps changing week to week.

By mid-June 2008, it appeared like Najib and Anwar were the two hot favourites. When Najib visited the Umno divisions, the grass-root members cheered him and proclaimed him the new Umno President lemonade Prime Minister. This even happened in Abdullahs own division. And Muhyiddin, who was there by his side, was cheered as the new Umno Deputy President -- although he feigned shyness in typical Malay fashion. It looked like Najib was set to become the new Umno President with Muhyiddin as his running mata, which means they will be Malaysias new Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister respectively.

But then this will only happen if Anwar does not pull a coup. Anwar had boldly proclaimed many times that he will form the new federal government by Malaysia Day, 16 September 2008, and that at least 30 Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament are waiting in the wings and ready to cross over. The race was on. Either Najib pushes Abdullah out before 16 September or else he will be pushing Abdullah out just to become the opposition leader in Parliament and not the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

It was now either Najib or Anwar. And there was also Tengku Razaleigh and Muhyiddin to contend with, though not as potent as Najib and Anwar. Tengku Razaleigh and Muhyiddin are not too serious a problem, though problems nevertheless. It was Najib and Anwar who have to be dealt with, and dealt with before the Umno branch elections start this month and the division elections in August.

Suddenly, Najib and Anwar are facing controversy -- Najib with his Altantuya murder controversy and Anwar in a new sodomy allegation. Now Najib and Anwar have their hands full. They are busy clearing their names and have no time to worry about taking over the Prime Ministership. The issue is no longer which of the two can become the next Prime Minister but whether they can even stay out of jail. That is a more pressing problem. The job of Prime Minister will have to wait.

Saiful, the man who alleged that Anwar had sodomised him met Najib just before he lodged that police report against Anwar. At first Najib denied meeting the young man. Then, later, he admits that he did meet the chap after all, but only to discuss the young mans career and future and to help him obtain a scholarship.

The earlier denial followed by the later admission does not augur well for Najib. The fact that a very busy Deputy Prime Minister has all the time in the world to meet a school dropout so that he can act as the latters career guidance counsellor is also a story many find hard to buy. Events and statements point to the fact that Najib is behind this latest sodomy allegation against Anwar.

That, at least, is what we are being led to believe. But what we have not been told is that Saiful was trained by the BTN (Biro Tata Negara), Malaysias propaganda outfit and an outfit headed by Abdullah loyalists. We are told that Saiful first surfaced a week or so before the 8 March 2008 general election when he reported to PKRs party HQ as an election volunteer. Where did he come from and who brought him into the party HQ?

Yes, that is the most crucial question. Saiful did not just turn up on the doorstep of the party HQ from nowhere. He was brought in by his very close friend, the son of the late Dato Nasaruddin Jalil and an Anwar aide. Thats right. According to Dato Nasaruddins wife, her son and Saiful are bosom buddies. Then, something strange happened. Dato Nasaruddins son was mysteriously killed by a hit-and-run driver. No one knows how it happened or who killed him. But, after that most tragic accident, Saiful stayed on to become one of the temporary staff of the party.

Was Dato Nasaruddins sons death an accident? Is there something more sinister than just an unsolved hit-and-run accident? I suppose we shall never know the answer to that one and it may forever remain in the books as an accident or a victim of a hit-and-run. But what we do know is that the young man whom Dato Nasaruddins son brought into the party got elevated from a volunteer to a temporary staff of the party.

The Muftis of Perlis and Perak have suggested that Anwar come out and swear an oath that he is innocent of the allegation of sodomising Saiful. That would be the only way he can clear his name. It is not known yet if he will do that but, if he does not, then the dark cloud hanging over his head will remain there. There would be no other way that Anwar can clear his name.

Anwar also has to explain what he was doing at that upmarket condo. Yes, I too have clandestine meetings with my many Deep Throats at secret locations such as hotel rooms and apartments. But then I always bring along witnesses to ensure that I have an alibi in the event someone spots me and accuse me of having secret rendezvous for purposes of sex.

But Anwars case is more complex. I was told they have photographs of Anwar and Saiful going into one of the rooms of the One World hotel escorted by another man. If these photographs surface and Anwar cannot explain what is going on, then he may cease to be a threat to Abdullah. Abdullah then has only to take care of Najib.

The Statutory Declaration (SD) by the private investigator, Bala, has hurt Najib a lot. But the retraction or second SD the following day, which deletes all references to Najib, is even more damaging than the first one. If anyone had any doubts and thought that maybe Bala was fixing Najib up with his first SD, the second SD removed those doubts. Now, people are even more convinced that Najib is guilty. If not then why amend the first SD but only as far as Najibs name is concerned whereas all the other allegations remain the same?

Balas first SD was not done in a hurry. It took numerous meetings over two months to finalise the SD. Bala had plenty of time to change his mind over those two months. And how can you say that you signed the SD under duress when it was done over many meetings over two months?

But the second SD was done only a few hours after the first one surfaced. And it was done after his visit to the police station. That gives an appearance of duress. And the fact he does not say that the entire SD is false but only as far as Najibs name is concerned gives an impression that Najib is behind the second SD and that it was done to clear his name. Why would Najib go to all this trouble if he were innocent?

I met Bala on 2 July 2008 and was with him for about six hours from 6.30pm. He was jovial and chatty and joked that my SD two weeks earlier had stolen the thunder from his. Now, his has become the second SD instead of the first as he had hoped. After the press conference of 3 July 2008 we had lunch and he was still as jovial and chatty as the night before. He was now the superstar and he was relishing every minute of it. We agreed to meet on Saturday night (tonight) to party and celebrate the success of his SD. Then, yesterday, the bombshell.

Yes, this looks bad for Najib, as well as for Anwar. And it certainly looks like Najib is behind the second SD as well as the sodomy allegation against Anwar -- while Anwar, in turn, is seen as behind the first SD that links Najib to Altantuya. In one swoop, both Najib and Anwar are brought down. And this means Abdullah has now rid himself of two serious problems. And with these two serious threats neutralised Abdullah can now take care of the lesser threats of Tengku Razaleigh and Muhyiddin.

I might not like Abdullah but I must certainly admire his skills. He looks stupid, he talks stupid, he acts stupid, but a man who can make you think he is stupid is actually cleverer than you.

Yes, it looks like Abdullah will still be Umno President and Prime Minister of Malaysia come Christmas. I would not have said this three weeks ago but today I say this with confidence. And while Najib and Anwar finish each other off, Abdullah is giggling in the background and choosing the Christmas tree that he will erect in Putrajaya come December.

Well done, Pak Lah. Brilliant moves. Now lets see how Najib and Anwar extricate themselves from the mess they are currently in.

As we all know in Malaysia's politics, the rumors we hear are more credible than what is officially reported in the papers. I've been bombarded with so many messages and i feel i'd like to share them with you. I also like to thank those whom has provided me with these information.

1.0 It seems many UMNO leaders and BN leaders are caught by surprise. They never expected such thing to happen to Anwar at all. It seems that the entire operation has been planned and carried out in total secrecy even from most of UMNO leaders. That's why now you see many UMNO leaders are being as quiet as a church mouse on this particular issue.

2.0 It's also reported to me that 80% of UMNO leaders disagree with this particular move. They think it's stupid and it has been a failure the first time around. Many of UMNO leaders stil cannot forget the bitterness of having to faced the Malay people the first time ANwar got accused of sodomy. UMNO leaders were treated like lepers and they remembered not being able to sleep at night for fear of their lives and their families life. They also remembered how even their closest family would cancel invitations of them to weddings and family functions. In fact, they didn't enjoy very much being a leper.

3.0 Ezam Mat Nor has been sending SMS all around denying any involvement. But, another source tells me that it was Ezam who brought Saiful Bukhari to see Najib Tun Razak. It seems that Ezam has a mole in his "band of misfits". Ezam's plan to do a statutory declaration is leaked to the public and now he may have to cancel it.

4.0 Also, he saw from the initial reactions, this particular bandwagon is doomed to fail. So, his plan to accuse Anwar publicly and to support this move had to be shelved. It would mean political suicide for him and his group regardless, especially when majority of UMNO leaders disagree with this move.

5.0 Apparently, UMNO has learnt that only about 6% of Malays believes Anwar is guilty of sodomizing Saiful Bukhari. Which means that only UMNO dia hards and hardcores buys this "trash". The rest of Malaysians who still maintains their sanity could not swallow the story of a 61 year old man who had undergone a spine operation can "violate" a 23 healthy boy? It just doesn't compute.

6.0 Many UMNO MP's who was atas pagar now are inclined to join PR. The recent incident only makes UMNO unpopular among rural Malays, which is UMNO's last bastion of support. The urban voters are gonner for UMNO and BN due to the recent oil spike. The Anwar accusation of sodomy will destroy UMNO support amng kampung people.

7.0 And yes, the rumor about Anwar being a target of assasination is also credible. But, it is a last option and will only be invoked when it's really necessary

8.0 Apparently, Anwar knows that Saiful is a mole for UMNO. But Anwar wanted to use Saiful Bukhari to feed UMNO with deceiving information. And apparently, Anwar thinks that his plan has worked well, until the sodomy report that is.

9.0 Saiful, felt that he's being used by Anwar and feeling like he has been made a fool out of, decided to act in this way. He wants to prove to Anwar that he is not that easy to be duped.

10.0 Apparently, Saiful has been scolded for feeding bad intel to UMNO. So, he has to redeem himself in this way.

11.0 At the location and time that Saiful Bukhari mentions in his police report, Anwar was really there. But he was in a meeting with 4 BN MPs and the nature of the meeting is secret. And, the meeting was not even logged in Anwar's diary because of it's secrecy but Saiful got to know about it. So Saiful is taking a chance since he knows Anwar will not expose his meeting with the BN MPs.

But, Anwar has already announced 4 MPs will be joining PR apparently to scare Saiful and his UMNO sponsors.

12.0 Among diehard Anwar haters in UMNO, they are saying that the evidence they have this time around will put Anwar away forever.

13.0 The Turkish Government is even willing to give Anwar asylum status, should Anwar requires it.

14.0 Turkish embassy was willing to risk diplomatic crisis and continue providing Anwar shelter, but Anwar refuse and told Turkish Embassy that he doesn't want Turkey to have a diplomatic crisis with Malaysia

15.0 Anwar was kept awake all night at the Turkish embassy because they kept serving him Turkish coffee. Apparently, it's one of the best brew in the world

Umno Bn selama ni dok pertahankan undang-undang sekular. Kenapa tiba-tiba nak guna cara Islam pulak, bila membabitkan isu liwat ni.

Komplot dah terbongkar. Seluruh rakyat tengok buletin utama masa najib buat pengakuan pernah berjumpa saiful bukhari. Sebelum ni kata tak pernah jumpa. tiba-tiba, tershasul pula, heheh. So komplot dah terbongkar.

Saya dok cari dalam internet tentang TG Nik Abdul Aziz sokong DSAI ber mubahalah. Tapi tak jumpa pun.
Mungkin berita ini usaha tipu muslihat puak2 umno, bn saja agaknya? Wallahu alam.

Mufti Perlis cadang Nik Aziz jadi orang tengah
Jul 6, 08 1:24pm

As expected from yesterday's discussion with some bloggers at the stadium, the MSM papers and the spin-doctors of the Bagabe regime had hammered out at the PROTES rally, calling that event a failure (Najib echoed that too), saying that nobody would give much attention to such rally and some called that an extremist event.

Najib boasted that the event was a failure, not many showed up, bla...bla...bla..and I remembered that you said that the nation will go bankrupt if they reduce the prices.

BUT YOU ARE TELLING THE OTHER WAY ROUND!

Malaysia is still a net exporter, let's give ourselves another 5 years to enjoy while it lasts and at this time, a portion of the money should be spent on &D to determine the feasibility of using electrical cars. We should go and defy using the market standards and use our unique style of control...capital controls, pegging rates. They outsiders may be angry but it will serve well in later.

Well, let's not forget that the according to event co-ordinator Hatta Ramli, the main reason of why the turnover was even less than 10 percent was due to a very simple reason: people intimidation. We were duped to believe by Musa Hassan that the military will be having a join patrol operations on that day. The word military gives an intimidation manner since they have different rules of engagement than the police. They carry rifles, their orders are different from the blue main. When we were on the road yesterday, we saw no military presence at all...Not a single military personnel. But the damage was done, it scared many people away.

WE WERE LIED BY MUSA - AN IGP FOR GOD'S SAKE!

A few days ago the state police top brass butt heads with Khalid Ibrahim, Khalid said the event in the stadium is a private affair, no permit but the police insisted that the rally is illegal. And since they lost the argument they sulked by having SB's using communication jamming equipment on every mobile phone in the stadium, created more traffic jams by placing roadblocks around PJ, KJ and saja, doing some unnecessary snooping on people..and in one day, Syed Hamid Albar, Musa Hassan and some BN people had wasted around a million ringgit in tax money (read: our money) in the operations cost by having extra policemen to do something that is not logical and against human conscience.

Now on to Syed Hamid. In today's Star paper, he was quoted of saying:

"Street demonstrations are not the way of the country. The Opposition must seek police approval and permits to organise any rally or protests.

"They should put public interest way ahead of everything else. Street demonstrations are not the answer to everything and this is certainly not the way to channel their wishes to the Government," he told reporters after meeting with representatives from the Bangladeshi High Commission office at the Parliament lobby Monday.

I think he must be assuming that everyone is still as dumb and the top brass is smarter than everyone. But then again, in this age, not all are stupid than what was in 1969. And I quote another line from RPK in Brickfields 4 months ago..."Year 1969, we were stupid, duped. We were told that if the Malays do not stand together, the Chinese and the Indians will kill us all...BOHONG!"

Further quoting:
Syed Hamid also described a recent meeting he had with the three Hindraf detainees under the Internal Security Act as "warm and friendly".
"During the meeting, all of them expressed their desire to be freed," he said, adding that another detainee P. Uthayakumar was not present.

Uthayakumar knew that Syed Hamid could not be trusted, and so does his brother, Waythamoorthy in London. They knew Syed Hamid could u-turn on Uthaya or have Waytha to be arrested under ISA the moment he steps into Malaysia.

THAT IS A LIE!....not every Malaysians are stupid as BN thinks they are.

Yes, it's just like father and son. Syed Jaafar Albar was an ultra-nationalist like Harun Idris back in the 1960s and through him, his lies and allegations was the main reason why Singapore split from Malaysia in 1965. According to Wikipedia, the guy is rapped because he was one those besides Tan Siew Sin that refuses to accept a Bangsa Malaysia concept. Harun Idris was also another bloke; his house was the focal point of the May 13 incident, he told the naive people there that the Chinese and Indians were to kill them, which was a lie after all. From those patterns, it seems that ultra-nationalism attitude will kill them physically or by reputation someday.

Here we are, another intended lie by the Rogue Banker Yackop. He claimed that Penang is entitled for just $1.4 billion out of $4.7 promised and Guan Eng was smart enough to see that it was a mere shadow play, instead it is part of Dollah Badawi's gang enacting punishment on Penang for voting the opposition. But some of the people knew of his involvement in the 1994 Bank Negara scandal in which Malaysia lost $30 billion via foreign exchange and he was the prime suspect behind it.

DON'T LIE TO US. ADMIT THAT YOU INTEND TO PUNISH PENANG.

Which brings us finally to Finance Minister #1 or PM or whatsover, Bedol Napoleon. Earlier he admitted that BN lost the cyber war to bloggers and blogosphere and one moment he flip-flopped - look at what he said today: bloggers to be blamed for rumors and speculation.

Anybody there? Wake up, my sleeping emperor, there are things that BN lied to the people with your spin-doctors. We are not bullshitting, instead you are bullshiting us. You said that there is nothing wrong, but you are saying otherwise. No one trusts you anymore, Bedol Napoleon. Game is up. The song 'Take A Bow' has line about you - The Show Is Over, Say Goodbye.

YOU DUPED US ALL, WE WERE LIED BY BARISAN. TIME'S UP!

Please go!

Fatwa Dr Taha Jabir al-'Ulwani mengenai fitnah terhadap Anwar Ibrahim
Terjemahan Ustaz Zainuddin Hashim
Wed | Jul 09, 08 | 4:43:07 pm MYT

Soalan

4. "Dan orang-orang yang melemparkan tuduhan (zina) kepada perempuan yang terpelihara kehormatannya, kemudian mereka tidak membawakan empat orang saksi, maka sebatlah mereka delapan puluh kali sebat; dan janganlah kamu menerima persaksian mereka itu selama-lamanya; kerana mereka adalah orang-orang yang fasik;

Firman Allah lagi menerusi ayat 11-19, Surah an-Nur maksudnya:

- mr_

The following has been compiled from various news reports, including some from Malaysian National News Agency BERNAMA.

Read it with an open mind, and don't forget to read between the lines!

Then come to your own conclusions

At a news conference on 3rd July 2008, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak admitted to having met Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, because the 23 year old wanted to reveal that he had been sodomised by Parti Keadilan Rakyat advisor Anwar Ibrahim.

Najib said that their meeting was the first between them and it took place at his (Najib's) residence several days before Mohd Saiful, who he said appeared to be highly traumatised, had made a police report on the sodomy allegation on Anwar.

"I received his (Saiful's) visit in my capacity as a leader and his as an ordinary citizen who wanted to tell me something. I did not know him before this," Najib told a press conference at his office in Parliament.

Saiful made a police report at the police beat base at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on 28th June 2008 stating that he had been sodomised by Anwar Ibrahim at a condominium in Damansara on 26th June 2008.

When asked why, Saiful, a former aide to Anwar had come to him regarding the matter, Najib said that he did not know, but assumed that the youth needed his help after he had said that he knew one of his officers.

Najib said Saiful had been to his office to meet one of his officers regarding a scholarship application but he (Najib) had not met Saiful then.

When asked whether he believed that what was said by Saiful had any basis, or otherwise, Najib said initially he was also unsure that what had been said by Mohd Saiful was true or false.

"I wouldn't dare say, I thought he looked genuine because he was afraid. His hands were cold. But I am not brave enough to make a conclusion. I told him to make his own decision," Najib said.

Najib denied that that he had advised Saiful to make a police report.

He said that during their meeting, Saiful had told everything that had happened to him.

Najib also denied allegations that he had conspired against Anwar.

When asked on what was told by Saiful, Najib smiled and said, "Oh, there were many stories, I might tell one day but after the court case."

Najib also said he was ready to give evidence if this was needed, following his exposure.

"Yes, I am ready. But what is there to ask? I merely heard his story. What is more important is the explanation from him, not from me," he said.

When he was asked why he felt that Anwar was using the case to launch this attack against him, Najib said he was unsure.

"I do not know, perhaps he thinks I am behind this boy (Saiful ) but the truth is there is no conspiracy, he came to see me alleging that he had been sodomised by Anwar," Najib said.

Regarding whether, or not, he was willing to subject himself to further investigation on the case, Najib instead of answering, posted a question to the reporter, asking him that to give a good reason why he should be investigated.

"The police have investigated the entire Altantuya case so they know everything," Najib said.

"Since a politician never believes what he says, he is quite surprised to be taken at his word."

-Charles ada Gaulle

"How do you know when a politician is lying?

His lips are moving."

Where are P. Balasubramaniam, his wife and their children?

It seems to be anyone's guess, read the fudging, sidetracking and
convolution in some of these news reports:

1. NST "Police: No agenda in Bala Case"
Police do not have any agenda in investigating the statutory
declarations by private investigator P. Balasubramaniam.

"Federal Police CID director Bakri "Zinin reiterated that their
investigations were not based on assumptions.

"We simply want to establish the facts," he said

"We are professionals. We do not have ulterior motives."

Bakri added that the steps taken by the police to locate the missing
private investigator were also not meant to put him under undue
pressure."

2. Meanwhile the Star reports on 9th July 2008:

"Private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, who disappeared with his
wife and three children last Friday, has been located.

Sources said police here with the help of Interpol traced his
whereabouts to an Asean country but declined to name it or say when
he would be brought back.

CID Director Comm Bakri Zinin confirmed this but declined to reveal
details."

3. Meanwhile Home Affairs Minister Syed Albar is reported by the
Sun, on 9th July 2008, as saying:

"I have no comment on Balasubramaniam."

I am in no position to discuss or debate."

"So far as the law enforcement agencies are concerned... we have to
make sure our investigations are not disturbed in any way."

"Otherwise there will be all sorts of allegations and charges
against the police, and it will be difficult for them," he said.

"I am sure that Balasubramaniam is safe, otherwise the family
members would not be asking questions," said Syed Hamid, who urged
the press to leave the investigation in the hands of the police.

He added that if the police have strong reason to believe that their
lives of Balasubramaniam and his family are being threatened, it is
the duty and responsibility of the police to provide them protection.

4. P. Balasupramaniam's nephew says, according to a Sun report dated
9th July 2008:

"Missing pergi Bala contacted nephew

After three days of being in the dark about the whereabouts of his
uncle private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, . Kumaresan received
a call late on Monday night.

However, other than knowing that his uncle and aunt are alive,
Kumaresan, is no closer to knowing their whereabouts or if they are
being detained against their will.

Speaking at a gathering of about 150 people organised by the Hindu
Rights Action Force (Hindraf) opposite a restaurant on Jalan Tun
Sambanthan, Brickfields, at 8pm yesterday, Kumaresan said he
received the phone call which appeared as "private number" on his
handphone about 11.30pm on Monday.

He said despite repeatedly asking his uncle where he was,
Balasubramaniam, who sounded very formal and uncomfortable, told him
that he was unable to reveal his whereabouts, and passed the call to
his wife.

"I asked my aunt the same questions but she too told me she was
unable to say where she was but she did say she was using a
policeman's handphone to make the call," said Kumaresan, a 27-year-
old IT professional.

He said his aunt told him that they were fine before he heard what
sounded like a door slamming in the background and the call, which
lasted about three minutes, went dead.

Kumaresan's lawyer . Surendran said the call indicates that
Balasubramaniam and family were being confined against their will
and urged the police to swiftly probe his whereabouts.

(Note: In Malaysia a call indicating `private number' could be
either from within Malaysia or abroad)

This last report may be closer to the truth than the others?

The plot thickens, but vital questions remain:

Where are P. Balasubramanian, his wife and children?

Are they being held against
their will, if so who is detaining them?

Bala's wife was reported as saying:

"she was using a policeman's handphone to make the call,"

Was this referring to a Malaysian policeman, or foreign policeman?

This vitally important question remains unanswered.

Malaysiakini reports:-

“PM: DNA yang ada, sudah lama

Muda Mohd Noor, Jul 18, 08 6:35pm

Perdana menteri Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi berkata DNA Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim diperlukan kerana DNA yang ada, sudah lama.

"Jadi kita kena minta yang baru," katanya”

English translation by me

PM: The DNA available is already old.

Prime Minister Abullah Ahmad Badawi said that the DNA of Anwar Ibrahim is required because the DNA we have is already old

(10 years old to be precise)

“That’s why we are asking for new” he said.

Meanwhile the Deputy Insp.Gen Police has been reported as saying that the police will not use the blood sample obtained 10 years ago from Anwar Ibrahim for investigations into the current sodomy allegation.

"That was the previous case. It is a different case now," said the DIGP Ismail Omar.

Ismail was referring to the investigation into the 1998 sodomy allegations against the then deputy prime minister.

At a press conference in Bukit Aman yesterday, Ismail was asked if police could use the blood sample take in the 1998 case.

The deputy police chief shrugged off the suggestion, saying that they were looking at obtaining a court order instead to compel Anwar to give his blood sample for DNA tests.

"We are studying various laws," he said, without elaborating.

What are the two geezers, mentioned above, talking about, DNA remains unchanged and is usable for an indefinite time period!

They are, it seems, spinning a devious convoluted yarn to confuse and mislead the public.

Are both the PM & the DIGP unable to differentiate between an fool and an elbow, or perhaps they are confusing ‘DNA’ and ‘AND’?

MB: Terengganu beli Mercedes ganti Proton bagi jimat kos
20-07-2008 08:04:07 PM

Perbetulkan saya sekiranya saya tersilap.

Mr PM, please answer my daughter
True Malaysian | Aug 1, 08 4:05pm
Dear Mr Prime Minister, I keep writing letters to you but you never seem to respond to them. Please sir, you are where you are because the rakyat chose you to represent them, so please respond and clarify our doubts.

My daughter asked me a simple question yesterday that I couldn’t answer. She asked, ‘Why did the PM put Anwar in jail?’ Immediately, a whole bunch of responses came to my mind but as I was about to answer, I realised she asked me why the PM put Anwar in jail and not the police.

I immediately pondered over a few points:

i. Anwar has been accused of sodomy but has not been convicted.

ii. Anwar was going home to have lunch with his family before proceeding to IPK as requested by the police.

iii. Anwar and his lawyer informed the police of this.

iv. Etc, etc, etc. We all know the rest.

So, Mr PM, how do I answer my daughter? My daughter then asked if the police can just come to our home, take me to the police station and keep me in one of their cells without any reason? Mr PM, she is a child and she is very frightened. She said that if this is possible, then we are living in a police state and our PM should not tell the leaders of the world that we are living in a democracy.

She asked me why you do not tell the truth so often, because some world leaders will believe what you say without verifying the facts, like the Australian PM when he said that Malaysia is a ‘vibrant and flourishing democracy’ and that the strength of democracy in Malaysia was a ‘great testament to the political wisdom of the people of this country’.

She asked me why Anwar Ibrahim is not accorded basic human rights? Why hasn’t he been allowed to see the police report made by his accuser?

Mr PM, if you think my daughter’s initial questions were difficult to answer, her follow-up questions were even more challenging for me. First she asked me if sodomy is a crime. With the limited knowledge I have in law, I told her that in Malaysia it is, but not in other countries as long as it is between two consenting adults.

However, I told her, I feel that in this case the accusation against Anwar is politically motivated, because if it did occur in the first place, obviously it happened between two consenting adults and should not have come out in public. Secondly, I find it quite unbelievable that a 61-year-old man with a bad back can forcibly sodomise a young healthy man aged 23.

Now here comes her tough question. She asked me, which is a more serious crime, ie, a brutal murder of a foreign citizen that has been proven to have occurred, or an alleged sodomy case that may or may not have occurred? Do you see Mr. PM, where she is heading? She’s a smart kid.

She said that if the brutal murder using C4 explosives to blow up a person is so cruel and has been proven to have happened, why weren’t all those linked to this heinous crime arrested by balaclava clad policemen and taken in for lengthy interrogation and kept in jail overnight and being made to sleep on the cold hard cement floor?

She added that a statutory declaration was made implicating your deputy Najib’s wife Rosmah, Colonel Aziz Buyong and Norhayati in that murder. I could not answer her question but she thought that I did not hear her. So she repeated her question to me, ‘Why weren’t these people arrested and put in jail while a man who has been accused of sodomy was arrested and put in jail?’

If sodomy is a bigger crime than brutal murder in Malaysia, then why aren’t the police arresting all gays and throwing them in jail, she asked? Why aren’t you and Syed Hamid Albar asking for DNA samples from all gays in Malaysia? She asked me if the reason could be because Anwar Ibrahim is a threat to Umno?

My daughter, being a smart kid, did not stop there. She must have been reading the various news articles without my knowledge because she then asked me which is more serious, the rape of a 14 year-old child or sex between two consenting adults? To this I was flabbergasted and asked her what she meant. She told me that when she was a small child sometime in the 90s, she remembers having read that the Malaysian police arrested and charged Lim Guan Eng after he publicly criticised the government's handling of allegations of statutory rape against the former chief minister of Malacca, Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik.

She said that the then attorney-general Mokhtar Abdullah had decided not to prosecute Rahim Tamby Chik, while the under-aged alleged victim, a 15-year old Muslim schoolgirl, was placed under 'protective custody'.

My daughter wants an answer to this too. She asked me why the attorney-general prosecuted Lim Guan Eng for highlighting this issue and even appealed to the courts to demand a jail sentence for Guan Eng. She is very confused Mr PM and I can’t help her here. I hope you can.

My daughter was so into it that she didn’t leave it at those questions. She asked me if a DNA sample can be planted to incriminate a person of a crime? This was her first easy question that I could answer. I told her that the Malaysian government has done this before. I told her that in the 1998-1999 trials, Anwar experienced the alleged fabrication of DNA evidence when DNA samples were said to have been illegally removed from forensic custody and later found on a mattress.

And when confronted with this fact the prosecution amended its charge and persuaded the judge, Augustine Paul (now promoted to federal court judge), to expunge the entire DNA evidence from the record, preventing Anwar Ibrahim’s lawyers from responding. She was shocked to hear this as she always believed you when you said that Malaysia is a truly democratic country. She is beginning to doubt you, Mr PM.

I also told her that the persons who were implicated in the alleged fabrication of evidence during Anwar’s former trials, namely the AG Gani Patail and IGP Musa Hassan are the same people who are involved in the current case. And today, they are in much more powerful positions within the law. She couldn’t believe what I was saying.

My daughter had also one comment on your recent statement that IGP Musa Hassan and AG Abdul Gani Patail would have no role in Anwar’s case and as such there was no reason to suspend them. To this, she asked how is it in a democratic country one man can decide who should be involved and who should not be involved in a legal investigation of such importance.

If the PM can take these two top main off a case, isn’t it just as possible that he might replace them with other main of his choice? It is difficult to answer all these questions that my daughter raises, Mr PM.

You see now why I need you to answer my daughter? She also asked a whole bunch of other questions especially about the humorous people you have around you, like Bung Mokhtar, Hishamudin Hussein Onn, Khairy Jamaludin, Syed Hamid Albar, etc, etc. But don’t worry about these questions as I can easily answer them.

I was then rather sad to hear her last comment, which went like this, "I will be eligible to vote in the next elections and if things remain the way they are, all my friends and I will vote for the opposition’, she said.

Don’t worry Mr PM, I will try to change her mind but I need your help to do it.
